Friends of Rushcliffe Country Park have confirmed that vital maintenance work at their large children’s play area has been completed on schedule.
That means the popular Ruddington children’s facility is now back open for villagers and visitors alike, in time for Easter, having been shut for an overhaul and safety checks during March.
A FoRCP spokesperson says there’s just one attraction which remains cordoned off: “Unfortunately the central rope tower is still waiting for some parts but will be open again soon. This is all in preparation for some big improvements taking place this summer! Thanks for you patience and we apologise to play area users for any inconvenience.”
The Park Rangers are also taking bookings for Easter holiday activities at our Country Park. These include a ‘Den Build and Bunny Hunt’ in the ‘Activity Woodland’ area on Thursdays 6th and 13th and Fridays 7th and 14th April, from 10.30am to 12.30pm. These sessions cost £6 per child which includes a chocolate ‘reward’.
You can book at the Ranger’s Office in person, call 0115 921 5865 or email countrypark@rushcliffe.gov.uk.
